You may recognise my other question or maybe not. but people tell me that there are players who haven't stepped in the U.S. let alone play for a US college, yet they get scouted to NBA.
Im from England and people say that UK league is really weak and no scouts will even have a look, so how the hell do you make it!!

Players that never played in the USA tend to come from Spain, France, Italy, Turkey, Greece, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, and Russia as well as Lithuania. The traditional European power houses and teams from the Euro League.

UK league is weak, so I guess you have 2 options #1 If you're as good as Dirk Nowitzki (Germany) is then the scouts will find you. Yao Ming never played college ball again the scouts found him as he was kind of hard to miss.

#2 Try to get into one of the other leagues like Italy, Spain, France, Greece, Israel, Russia, Turkey, other league that is better competition. Or come to the USA try out for the CBA. Joel Freeland started with the Solent Stars know plays for Gran Canaria (Spain) he was drafted 30th Portland Trailblazers 2006, but a big concern is his lack of playing time.

All the UK basketball players in the NBA played college ball only currently 2.Three if you count Ben Gordon only because he was born in London really American.

Ok here are some othe ideas Loul Deng has a camp reported on the BBC.

Other link that may help you is Euro Basket has info on non NBA leagues in the USA as well as all the teams in Europe. Only thing is they charge a fee for info on how to get scouted and agents. Looks like it may help.

If what you are saying about the English teams is true, then it's an uphill battle. However, the English players are in luck! They have to go play against the best players from other European leagues and perform well. That's where it starts or at least that is as good a place as any to start.

If scouts see English players beating the guys they are scouting from other countries they will immediately become interested. Pretty simple huh.

John Amechi and Ben Gordon are from England and they made it, you just need to have skills and try to go to a school in the states.
