It depends on the length of your normal cycles.
If your cycle is around 28 days, then you would have been most fertile around the 7th of the month (but could conceive from sex up to a week before that and a few days after that). You can adjust it accordingly if your cycle is longer or shorter - if your cycles are normally shorter, you would have been most fertile a bit earlier and if they are longer you would have been fertile a bit later.
You should start observing your cervical mucus if you haven't already. If they pay attention when they wipe after using the bathroom, most women will be able to notice a thin, liquidy, clear-to-white colored mucus that can be compared to egg-whites when they are in their most fertile time.
Good luck.

You need to start to track your periods. I keep a calendar! On my calendar i put when I had my period, how long, how bad, where my cervix was, ect! you can check your cervix. You can get to know what your cervix does. When mentrating your cervix will be low and then ovualting it will go high. Also when ovulating you will noctice a dicharge that is stringy and like egg whites. Also, with dates we can not tell you by what you told us. You always ovulate 14 days before your period. so the normal is a 28 days cycle you would ovualte in the middle of that. But you didn't tell us how long it is before you get your next period. What you do is take the first day of your last period and the count how many days to the first day of your nest period then subtract 14 days and you should ovualte then. The hard part is you don't know unless you get very regular periods but you can get an idea. Really by your dates you shoudl of ovualted already. Good luck!

Ovulation happens about 14 days before your next period starts. But anywhere from 10-16 days before is still normal.
If you have a textbook 28 day cycle then you most likely ovulate on cycle day 14, but most women don't perfect 28 day cycles.
So, figure out how long your cycles are--how many days apart, and then figure when you should be getting your next period. From the day you expect your next period count back 16 days--this will begin your fertile window--and continue having sex every other day for a week or so.
Also, you can use BBT's to chart ovulation and look for secondary signs that you are ovulating like pain around the ovaries, called mittleschmerz, increased sex drive, slight swelling of the labia, and the mucus coming from your cervix will be clear, stretchy, and feel like raw eggwhites.

Generally, you will ovulate about 12-14 days before your next period...so...depending on how long your cycle is.
For example, I have a 28 day cycle..so my doc told me to "do it" on CD 14, as well as the 2 days before and the two days after...so basically every day from CD 12-16. In your situation, this would have made your fertile window August 4 through August 8.
Good luck!!

It looks like charting would help. A good site for this is fertilityfriend.com They have good support chats too.
It helps you get to know your cycle .. and your body. Alot of things effect ovulation so it can change monthly.
not everyone has the same luteal phase... (which is the amount of days between Ovulation day... and your period)
it can go as low as 10 days after ovulation ... (anything lower than this is a luteal phase defect )
usually you should try to have sex every other day during cd10- cd19 or soo..
Hope that helps

When you can conceive would depend on how long your cycles are and that's the one bit of information you left out.
Go to this site and plug in your cycle info. It's a really easy format. It will tell you when you are fertile (have sex during this time).
There's other things you can do, but I don't want to confuse you like your doctor. Start with the calendar method and when you're more comfortable, you should start tracking your cycles.

Good luck.

You need to count BACK from your next period! If you have a regular cycle, i.e. 28 days then you can start to count forward.... it is about day 13 (i.e. 14 days BEFORE your next period)
buy a predictor kit (or persona computer), you pee on a stick every morning and it measures the hormone levels. It will tell you the days you are ovulating. Worked for me!
