This guy has a burst that Chester Taylor just doesn't have. I believe that while they will continue to share carries Peterson will overtake Taylor as the number one option fairly early in the season.

Peterson probably isn't a great No. 1 back, but I don't necessarily agree that he can't be a great No. 2 back for a fantasy team. Maybe not right away, but I think in the first third of the season he could assume that role.

He was very impressive against New York last night.

I'd be careful with Peterson. As long as Chester Taylor is healthy they will be splitting carries. You can't project this guy as a 20 carry, 100 yard runner since he won't get enough touches to do so.

I think he's good as a #3 RB in a 12-team league, but you have to consider less talented running backs that will get the necessary workload before him. As much as I don't want to end up with players like Ahman Green or Jamal Lewis, would you rather have those guys for 300+ carries or Peterson for 175?

Peterson has all the talent in the world, but doesn't have the opportunity yet. This all changes if Taylor gets hurt. He probably moves into the mid-#2 RB category if that happens. However, I've seen people take him as their #2 RB right now, which is a huge mistake.

It was against 2nd string players, of course he's gonna shine. he's still going to be #2 on the depth charts because Chestor Taylor is a proven NFL Running back, but Peterson will be a nice spell back for Taylor until he's ready to take over completely.

Just as McAllister started for the Saints last year in front of Reggie Bush, Chester Taylor will start this year in front of Peterson.
Peterson will get his share of opportunities as Taylor's sub, but unless Taylor gets hurt, he is the man.
Don't put so much stock into pre-season games. 90% of what you see in the pre-season is not what you will see during the regular season.

I would like to see more from him before commenting.

The World Famous ZATOPEK, gave 1 brillianr performance and 3 poor ones - before competing in the Olympics and winning Gold. So, we need to see more races and MORE competitive races.

If he were on a different team, he would be at the top. He will share carries, and without a proven QB, defenses will key on him. He will make a bunch of DB's earn their living - that's for sure!
