They claim, "it was only about sex."

If so, then why did he lie?

Bluesman: Remember Somalia and Bosnia, and Khobar Towers, and attacks on our African embassies, the attack on the USS Cole, and the 1993 WTC bombing? Clinton also has blood on his hands too. You are just another example of a hateful democrat willing to rewrite history to justify your hero.

They make exceptions for people they admire, no matter how despicable their actions. If Bill Clinton had been a corporate executive who used his position to sway an impressionable young woman in his employ, the liberals would be shrieking for his head on a pike. Then he lied about it, then he perjured himself in front of a Grand Jury. He can't claim ignorance as he's a member of the legal profession so he's relying on these two-faced liberals with their double standards to excuse him for one among many of his lapses in character. Let's not forget about Gennifer and Paula and Judith and a whole host of others. While we're at it, lets not forget about his other lapses like giving top secret defense technology to the Chinese in return for, well, I hate to say BRIBES, but that's what they were.

Why do democrats have to justify it? He was impeached at a cost many times more than the amount spent on the 911 commission for a personal idiotic mistake. Make you feel better? How do republicans justify Nixon, Iran Contra, the Iraq war? How can any of us be expected to justify what other people do?

The thing is Liberals do hold him accountable. The real question is why don't neocons hold Bush accountable for the mess this country is in right now? Why do cons bring up history when it is convenient? Don't they want to discuss the present or future? What are they afraid of, the truth?

You can't justify it, it was wrong. This Government has alot of things that are wrong, politicians do what they want because they don't get held accountable for their actions, they just use scapegoats and lies to worm their way out, and that goes for ALL parties.

We don't. He screwed up. End of story. I will not try to justify his actions. Would I vote for him again if he could run? Yes, I would. Do you justify Reagan lying about Iran Contra? Or are you just going to bring up Clinton's mistakes to justify Regan, like you try to justify Bush with Clinton's mistakes. Why don't you just admit their mistakes and move on. Or are all Conservatives incapable of making one?

because adultery is not a criminal offense and he should not have been subject to a criminal trial over it. Personal actions have no bering on how good of a president he may or may not have been. I just can't beleive your still talking about a blow jorb after almost 10 years.
But if that is all it takes to become a bad leader......... what does going to war for no reason make you? A good leader?

Are our tax dollars still paying for his privite problems with his marrage? NO
Are our tax dollars still paying for the Savings and loan scandal. YES

which one should you have more of a problem with?

Same way some republicans have justified Republicans. I think everyone that clearly lies under oath, like Clinton did, need to be punished.

Oh I am a conservative that votes republican but I also believe we need to hold ALL of our politicians to the same standard.

Just remember that when Clinton lied, nobody died. We now have a president who has blood on his hands.

The same justification for Bush lying about everything to justify his invasion of a sovereign country, spending trillions of taxpayers dollars, and the deaths of tens of thousands on both sides.............now that's a whopper !
