filled with sunlight or do you prefer blinds closed and curtains drawn?

My house can be like a tomb in the day...most windows face north and south so I like to keep things open but do like it dark if I am watching tv or wanting to sleep. I just like the option of being ABLE to let light in...my hallways upstairs are pitch black unless the bedroom doors are open.

I find it hard to get motivated to do anything in the house if it's dark! LOL

That's what prompted me to ask...have to open it all up and turn lights on or else I just feel like doing NOTHING!!

If the temperature is moderate I prefer letting the sun in. All winter long I love to have as much light as possible, it keeps the blues away

In the summer time I keep the blinds closed and the curtains drawn. It helps keep the house cooler. In the winter and spring, I open everything up.

In the mornings open blinds and windows so the sun shines in. At night I do close them a little, not all the way. I don't like dark.

We live in the end house in a row of townhouses, and we keep it dark, except for electric light. Because of air-conditioning costs, if we want it cool, better keep the curtains drawn.

But in cool weather that will be just the opposite.

My dwelling, as a man in solo, is an apartment with blinds. During the day my blinds, which came with the apartment, are usually open to let daylight stream through. My window faces west, so when the sunset draws closer you can see it happening. Nice!

Right now it is filled with sunlight....and I like it that way in the living room or kitchen when the sun comes up, but not the bedroom.

I like my blinds drawn , I don't like a lot of sun in my bedroom or living room, I find it cozier when there is a little light. Yes I'm weird that way.

I definately prefer blinds and windows open, even though the sunlight doesn't fill up my rooms...
