a transducer is used to measure force. It generates an electrical signal based on the force applied to it. They can also be used to measure pressure (which is just a force over a specific area).

Well, generally speaking, all it is is a device that converts energy in one form to energy in another form. For example, piezoelectric crystals, telephone receivers, and microphones all convert mechanical energy (in the form of a sound wave) into an electrical signal, and vice versa. A photodiode converts energy in the form of electromagnetic radiation (light) into electrical energy. A battery converts chemical energy into electrical energy. A solar sail would convert radiation energy from the sun into kinetic energy of the spaceship. A jump out of an airplane converts gravitational potential energy into kinetic energy (although that's a bit of a stretch).

A mechanism that transfers a signal Power level to another .Its really a power transfer device.
The retina of the eye is a transducer. It receives a power radiation on of light in the form of an image and transfers the signal to the brain in the form of an electrical power signal which the brains sortout as intelligence and interprets it as an image.
