Not really, although few people do it around here. Most people in my neighborhood have their shoes glued to their feet even at home. But where home & back yard are concerned, while it is uncommon, it's not so uncommon *no one* here does it... there are a few folks who do.
But I'm the only one who goes barefoot everywhere outdoors :) Which btw isn't dangerous, unhealthy or gross; feet get very tough very quickly, our skin is made to keep pathogens out, and feet are fully washable.

I find it strange that some people feel like they have to wear shoes all the time, even in their own homes. The only time I wear shoes around the house or yard is when I'm doing yardwork or something around the house where I might be up and down ladders or in and out of the garage.
When us kids visit mom & dad we always kick our shoes off at the front door. It's like we are saying, "Mom, we're home!" I'll even remove my footwear when visiting friends, unless there are lots of people there. I just feel comfortable in their homes, so why not be comfortable?
Alright, in the winter I may wear slippers or fluffy socks, but the shoes still stay off until I'm ready to go somewhere.

Absolutely Not. It's kind of hot. it shows their wild side. Or mayeb they're not sensitive at the feet. I mean personally I LOVE beign barefoot and woudl always do it, if weather and society didnt exist. I think peoepl who never take their socks off are freaks. You'd be surprised I actually knowpeoepl who never wear anythign but socks and running shoes. Wierdos.

No it is not strange, some people just like the feeling of being barefoot, and in their home and yard they are safe from being looked down upon if they are not confident about leaving their house barefoot. I am always in my bare feet at home and no one thinks it is strange.

Not so strange as it is dangerous. You never know what you might step on. I always used to run around barefoot when I was younger, but now I am older and wiser. I think it was stepping on a bee and getting stung that was my big "eye opener." And, there is always doggy doo where you least expect it. Ewww!!!
