My girlfriend likes dark movies and anime. She loves Tim Burton, Ghost in a Shell stuff like that. Can anyone recommend some good movies along those lines that aren't so mainstream. I tried to suprise her with Dark City but she's already seen it three times..

If you want dark.. try Perfume: story of a Murderer.. or Pan's Labrynth.. maybe even MirrorMask.. (collaboration of Neil Gaiman and the Creators of Labrynth) I've never found anything quite like ghost in the shell.. (I love that movie.. )..but you could try Vampire Hunter D.. or Pet Shop of Horrors.. (they are by no means new..but they are some of my favorite)..

If she's seen Dark City, then she's probably seen most of what you'll get here. But, I'd go old school with something like Blade Runner or The City Of Lost Children.
