Just had Talk Talk broadband installed today 3 or 4 days after the go live date, they never sent our wireless modem out despite the countless different stories we recieved from their call centres then, they sent us a diifferent letter as if we'd just started!
We had to go down to the carphone warehouse to see what the story was, also on our mail most of our address was missing!
Is this what to expect from most broadband companies, or is it just talk talk?

I have in right now and it is crap it may be cheap but it is not any good, half of the time it does not let us on and they also did not send me a modem but me had to use our old one and it is just talk talk i used to be with tiscali and they are alot better if you had the package with the phones as well some time my phone does not work i would not recomend joining

Ive used 4 different broadband companies and never had problems like that. I think you need to speak to someone a little higher up in the company.

Take my tip. I signed up with TalkTalk 31 March. My phone went live very quickly after. My broadband went live 13 July even then it was`nt stable for a good while,and now my phone is up the swanny. I`ve just retrieved my voice mail and I had a message from my local Emergency Services telling me they`ve had 4 calls from my address since 8th August. To top it all, after speaking to their tech.dept. they told me to unplug all my phones and plug in a corded phone. When I explained I did`nt have one, they told me to borrow one. I think they read all their instructions off a Autocue. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. I got that frustrated I even wrote to Charles Dunstone

I tried to get broadband from talk talk 6months ago--what a nightmare they didn't set it up properly no-one could help me rectify the problem customer service was non existant . Never again !! I would never recommend them to anyone. I finally got my mac code from them and transferred to bt. who i have had no problems with

i got talktalk last sept all went well until bt dug up cables at christmas phone talktalk it wasnt until jan got it up and running again the phone calls i was pulling my hair out trying to get myself understood but since then everything well i think they should get more staff to help when things do go wrong i got a great person who finaly help me

tell them you want mac code and leaving as not getting service your paying for if have trouble contact telecom watchdog as they know what talktalk are like i was with them loada crap
