Patriotism is one of the major highly emotive drivers that elitists use and dispicably abuse to sucker others into doing what THEY need doing and that almost always is the elitists desire for wealth and ultimately power.

This reality is of course fully exposed in Samuel Johnson's famous quotation:

"The last refuge of a scoundrel is patriotism"

No more clearly is this filthy reality more obvious then with Bush.

There is simply no question whatsoever that Bush SR with his power and connections and a wink and a nod and using third parties, made certain his son the current war monger in the Oval Office ,avoided the draft by getting into the National Guard. For those of us old enough ,we all know how the Guard was used by the wealthy/connected to get their loved ones out of harms way.

So why this stinking hypopcrite starts an illegal war based upon a pack of filthy lies that has seen the slaughter of over 3500 US soldiers and over 400,000 innocent Iraqi civilians,
he exorts all to SHOW THERE PATRIOTISM to their country by putting themselves in harms way.

Unbelievably this is EXACTLY what many inane (mostly poor / working poor individuals who have no real choice but to join the military as all others with money/choices/connections avoid the military like the ebola virus and go on in most cases to have a good long money/material filled life while others are in graves and their loved ones destined for a continued linfe of poverty or near poverty) are doing .

What the hell do these two vile Presidents talk about in private? How they used and abused their wealth and connections to let the other SUCKERS do THEIR dying???

Finally, the good little CHRISTIAN Americans give God/Christ the finger by choosing patriotism over the Christian moral/ethical code.

All mainstream Churches (including Bush's own Methodist Church) have condemned Bush's crime against humanity in Iraq as being profoundly anti-Christian and a moral/ethical abominable sacrilege.

What a bunch of monumentally hypocritical supposed CHRISTIANS !!!!!!!

And as the loved ones of these PATRIOTIC BUT MORALLY BANKRUPTED soldiers mourn their deaths ,they should stop and realized that as their dead loved one stands before God and Christ (89 % of Americans say that they are Christians) ,God isn't going to except the crap about "I WAS ONLY FOLLOWING ORDERS" as the dead German Soldiers discovered and Bush et al are not going to be there helping their loved one defend themselves but will be all on their own as they try in vain to explain why they crapped all over God's moral/ethical code by being apart of this atrocity in Iraq.

For vthose HYSTERICAL PATRIOTIC YAHOO SCOUNDRELS who do not like this post , I say to you TOUGH for all my sympathy, caring ,concern is for the over 400,000 INNOCENT Iraqi civilians that Bush's war has resulted in .\

And to those morally bankrupted patriots who scream "It is not US soldiers that have killed these 400,000 but insurgents " ,I SAY:

1. If Bush had not waged his LIE based WAR based upon a pack of filthy lies, these 400 000 innocents would still be alive essentially.
2.Bush with the full support of the US military ,turned an INSURGENT/TERRORIST FREE Iraq into a bloody insurgent/terrorist haven .

Now why don't you all go kill and slaughter for the patriotic goal of OIL OIL OIL OIL OIL OIL OIL PROFITS PROFITS .

Irrational? Yes it is.

Hysteria? Only when it reaches the level of arrogance, or contempt for the others countries. In that case it expresses a collective problem which should be addressed.

Patriotism is that feeling that causes some citizens to recognize what their country really is and defend your right to ask as many childish and irrational questions as you like before recess is over. Those who have an opposite view of your right to free speech probably support such gag orders as the "fairness doctrine", while falsely claiming to be patriotic too.

Is loving your family despite their quirks irrational hysteria? By extension, it's the same thing with your country. You can love your country, i.e., be patriotic, and still disagree with aspects of how it is being managed. Disagreement does not negate patriotism.

No, patriotism can and is felt and expressed on many levels. None of which are irrational in the mind of the patriot.

Patriotism is an extension of the family. It's a good thing provided it doesn't turn into hatred of other countries.

When patriotism is taken to an extreme degree, it can result in irrational hysteria.
