I saw a sign in front of a grocery store that says.Customers who complain are our best freinds because it helps us to improve our business.Did they ever talk you into something that you don't need just like a salesperson and should they be reminded to give respect to what the customer request?

Salesmen is what the manager is! the technician in back gets paid off of what is sold up front. Technician says this car needs 4 tires and front end realigned and front brake pads and rotors resurfaced about $750.00 and the sales man gets his props unevenly worn brake pads and starts in. "My technician noticed you really need new brake calipers because of this uneven brake pad wear" The big up sale begins "These brand X tires are ok but do you have Kid's this is your wifes car" "These more expensive tires are for you!" And because you don't know if your car can be four wheel aligned or not. Salesman also sells you lifetime balancing and four wheel alignment. Now the Bill and the salesman commission check is much better. You get out of the tire store for around $2,500. Watch Out!

THIS IS VERY COMMON AND I ALWAYS SAY....

TRY FINDING AN INDEPENDENT SHOP INSTEAD OF THE DEALER OR A CHAIN STORE BECAUSE YOU WILL BE OVERALL MORE PLEASED WITH THE FINDINGS AND THE SERVICE.

THEY ARE PAID OFF COMMISSION SO IT IS THEIR JOB TO TALK YOU INTO AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE AND THE SAD THING IS FIRST, YOU DON'T NEED 90% OF THE STUFF THAT THEY SAY AND SECOND, THEY ARE THE WORSE REPAIR SHOPS AROUND.

THEY ONLY HAVE PARTS RE-PLACERS THEY DO NOT HAVE QUALIFIED TECHNICIANS BUT THEY DO HAVE THEIR CERTIFICATES ON THE WALLS TO SAY THAT THEY ARE.

ANYONE CAN BECOME CERTIFIED BUT VERY FEW NOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND IN MY BUSINESS THESE SHOPS ALWAYS SEND THEY SCREWS UPS TO US TO REPAIR.

CONTACT THE CORPORATE OFFICE AND FILE A COMPLAINT, DON’T FILE WITH THE BBB BECAUSE THEY ARE A JOKE AS WELL.

BE VERY CALM AND STATE YOUR CASE, BE PERSISTENT BUT BE ON POINT AND THIS DOES WORK IN SOME CASES.

YOU CAN ALSO FILE WITH YOUR LOCAL ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE AND I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT THEY HAVE A VERY LARGE FILE ON THEM.

GOOD LUCK AND REMEMBER THERE ARE A LOT OF GOOD INDEPENDENT SHOPS OUT THERE THAT TREAT THE CUSTOMER LIKE A PERSON AND NOT LIKE A NUMBER.

if you, as a customer, let yourself get "talked into" buying something you don't want...that's your fault. if you don't like that "commission based" atmosphere...go somewhere else, where people don't work on commission. it's irritating, yes, to be heckled. i don't necessarily consider that bad service. that's sales. and i don't care what anyone says...it may be a business motto that the customer is always right...that's really not true. there are some bad customers and being a bad customer can contribute to a bad retail experience just as much as bad customer service.

Again with this nonsense. What the heck is your beef with Firestone anyway? If you don't like how they treat you then open your yap instead of whining here or try a different one or just go someplace else. Speak with your wallet like normal people!

I should think that you would be able to contact Firestone Corporate. but be forewarned, those are service centers and they get paid on commission.

Of course. If you do not do it, then you deserve bad service. I always speak up when I get bad service.
