This is an incredibly difficult choice to make and a very good question. It is almost impossible to be loved without also loving. If I were to be asked to pick only ONE of the two, I would have to say that it would be to love. In a world where there is so much hate and fighting going on, we all need to set the example of LOVING others rather than waiting for others to love us. It might just help to spread love to all if we just start showing love for others.

Well, not being loved is very painful at times. Right now I would choose to be loved.

While I do agree with Shadow Strike, I must say that we MUST first choose to BE loved. What I mean is that we first must love ourselves before we can even begin to love others. I hope that makes sense?
