Hi Moon,
I have a dog : ~~Bosco~~ *6 years old and blind*.. When I look at him, and think of just listening its really incredible..Its like his eyes talk to me and he is speaking more than I realized and... were "communicating" in a sense more than ever :-), and I'm really touched by the whole thing.....
>>>>
I talk back to him too, out loud LOL, ...knowing that he gets the jist by my tone of voice.... I think since I think of dogs as having such a "pure" heart, that I am bonding with him... more and more, also thinking of how we can listen to them.. and, suddenly I really see the unconditional long thing..that its always there showing, and his cute smile.... ;))
>>>>>
I am most joyful, about noticing that he is OK .. 24/7, even when he look worried.. that overwhelmes me in a good way....He seem to take whats going on around him so light heartedly, and he really knows how to chill out that dog... :)) LoL... Probably especially from where he came from in Puerto-Rico!! :) He love love loves the sun :))) ...a lot of the time he is speaking to me in his ora... and when I listen, and He is saying everythings ok... and he gives me the whats up w/ this eye, and I am like everythings ok :-)
>>>>
Those are the best times.... Its so special to me for humans to be able to be in touch w/ the circumstances around... and what you and the dog are feeling, between eachother as a human to animal(animal to human) relationshiop, and just be with the communication.... And soooo much fun.... :-))
>>>>>
I know thats some in depth writing on me and my dog, but hey, what can I say...

I love him so much! :-) .. And, he loves me, too.. :)) .. (I think) ;p
Thanks, for the question, Moon! :)

*Have a wonderful weekend*, too! :-)

Take care of yourself!

I had four cats. Then I went insane and took a fifth cat. Now I am the crazy cat lady of the neighborhood. They all love me and show me constant affection. I get more attention from the cats than I want at times and sometimes have to go into my office and close the door to keep them out so that I can have some cat free time. They also expect things of me like feeding them, cleaning their litter box, and giving them anything their hearts desire. I do my best to give them what they want because I love them too.

Moon,
funny question. My pets likely are happy I get up so early for work - because they then know I will feed them. I can here it now..."...Hey he's up - CHOW TIME...c'mon - let's go bug him before he gets the paper and makes the coffee". The antithesis to this is likely - "...god, thank goodness he doesn't live here alone - else we would NEVER get our evening meal". Also "...Hey - what the hell is it about him, work, and reading? Hmm...you'd think he'd play with us more often because we're so cute."

Moon, well the above is what they think of me (I guess). Hope this helps with your extended research on the "thoughts of animals and the people who feed them" kind of thing.

Have a good weekend yourself.

GD :)

I'm owned by five cats, over a hundred chickens and seven runner ducks. Their main thought when they look at me is food. The cats, however, are far more complex and devious, they think of other things like possession, entertainment, comfort, and admiration.

My grandpuppy, a coon hound, loves my yearly visits. She stands there with leash in mouth when I come, looking forward to our long walks and romps. My other daughter has two cats who each come to greet me, one usually sleeping on my bed when I'm around.

A Franciscan, I've always been an animal person.

I used to have a " Arwana" -- A ferocious fish in appearance but it's the opposite. It's kinda likeable pet. My pet usually think of the food am going to give. She loves lived fish or small amphibians.

They honestly think that I was put on this earth to share everything I eat with them. They are my most successful diet plan ever!

We have a dog who is half Sheltie and half Dachsund, named Eureka!

We have a garbage pail dog (stray) that is half Golden Retriever and half Bassett Hound named Sandy Claws.

We have a cat named rabbit, but I call him Brat Cat. He likes that name better anyway. How do I know? he actually comes to me when I call him. How many cats do that if you aren't standing next to the can opener?

I think my pet thinks I am great. Just the way he looks at me sometimes - with a bit of adoration in his face. He loves when I talk to him and it looks like he understands some of what I say. I think cuz I give him that respect, he loves me!

I have 4 fish and two shrimp in my aquarium, a cat named Sonic, 5 kittens, and a chihuahua named Schatzi. They love me because I feed them and give them attention- and I protect them from being overloved by the kids! The kids love them to death, but sometimes they love them to the point of getting a little too rough with them. :) Sonic jumps into bed with me often at night and keeps me company. Schatzi is 10 years old, so she is an old dog and usually prefers to be alone most of the time, but she sure gets happy when we come home, so I know she loves us. :)

Hi Moon..

I used to have dogs. We talked and listened to each other. We loved and understood each other. We smiled and laughed together. We shared great times. We agreed that we were best friends ever.

*edit - they died because of old age :'(

Now, we are planning to get a pup this spring.

Take care Moon.. Have a great weekend to you too..
