You have perhaps heard the adage, "Fortune favours the brave". Luck will never favour idle people. There is no substitute (including luck) for hard work. On the other hand, people who feel they are unlucky can hope to achieve something, maybe a lot in their lives by dint of sheer hard work. So even if both hard work and luck are important in shaping success, it is hard work which is within the limits of your ability. You have no control over your luck. So it is prudent to work hard to the maximum of your ability and hope for luck to do the rest.

Well Hardwork is much imp..if u do hard work u will surely get some fruit of it...n its ur success to get that result..n it was in ur luck to get that...n after doing hard work if u dun get any its also ur luck mean it wasn't written in ur luck so u must find a alt way to get that....

I strongly feels that if we are doing hard-work but we are not getting an opportunity then hard work is just a waste and by luck if we are getting an opportunity and we are not doing hardwork then also we cant get sucess. So hardwork is important if luck is with us

(1) You can not work your luck to be in your favor, so use the other option you have - hard work.
(2) What are perceived as luck in most cases are actually the products of hard work in the past.
If one worked hard to learn and understand stuff, it becomes easy to win without putting in any effort. To a stranger, this might appear as the person is very lucky and always win without putting in any hard work.

Luck may give you the outward appearance of success, but the sense of pride and accomplishment in the work done to achieve the means, is what gives you internal success.

They are both important. I have notices, however that luck seems to come to a greater degree to those who work hard.
You can do very little if anything to change your luck, but you can work hard (and intelligently).
