The TV movie "The Rise of Hitler" seemed to imply to me that party people were concerned about Hitler+Geli so they secretly arranged for him to meet Braun.

He met Eva at a function, I am not sure if it was pre planned, or an accidental meeting.

He showed a great deal of interest, and the party functionaries left no stone unturned to encourage his interest in her.
If his relationship with Geli were to have come to public knowledge, he and The Nazis would probably have not come to power in the first place. (morals of the day)

The movie was 'taking liberties,' the Party was not that concerned with Hitler's infatuation with Geli, in fact for those like the Strasser Brothers it provided them with 'amusement,' certain that the infatuation was one sided, that Geli wasn't overtly fond of 'Onkel' Adolf..

There was no need to 'secretly arrange' a meeting. It was inevitable. Nazi party circles were tight concentric rings revolving around Der Fuhrer. Everyone circling around Adolf would get a face to face 'hello' and a hearty 'Heil Hitler.'

During the dying days of Berlin, with the Russians less than a thousand yards away, Hitler reveiwed Hitler Youth, photos bear witness to his need and their need for Hiter's celebrity despite the fatique the pain the loss. AND what gets lost amidst the Hitler bashing, and trust me I do not Like Hitler but I like to keep things in prespective, what people forget is that Eva Braun wanted to meet Adolf. She had a genuine school girl crush and nothing would have prevented her from meeting Hitler. They actually had a 'great love story,' in spite of rumours of abuse and titilating sexual musing, Eva was a good match for Hitler...

That said, Hitler's inner circle did not fret over the Geli Mess, they figured it would work out, somehow, how it worked out was what spooked them. They hadn't counted on a mysterious death, a supposed suicide.

A final note, oddly enough Uncle & Niece relationships spark scandal yet are sometimes tolerated. If Geli truly liked Uncle Adolf, then maybe people could get comfy with the notion. The Inner circle wanted Hitler to be Happy, if that meant marriage, oh well - - - or as it develope later with Eva 'no kiss and tail,' because Hitler wanted to project an image of the Lone Warrior...

I BELIEVE Gelli killed herself before Hitler was introduced to Eva Braun. It wouldn't have mattered anyway because she was successfully hidden away.
While the higher-ups were a bit concerned with what the masses would think about the niece/uncle thing - who was about to tell him to get rid of her?
The "people" were not allowed to know about Eva either. And their "relationship" remains questionable. The concensus of opinion among the Goebbels crowd was that Der Furher was better thought of as an aesthete, somewhat of a monk - with his concern being only the "people".
Kind of like the Catholic Church forbidding Priests from marrying and having children - thought being their attention would be diverted from their flock and centered on their families. Hence - NO PRIESTS!! Time to change the rules.
(Again - initially, priests were allowed to marry and have children.)
