This is his FIRST fathers day... and I want it to be REALLLLLLY special for him.
I cannot afford anything TOOO expensive. I do not want to get him any video games, I feel he has enough. I don't want to get him cd's or dvd's.. I just want to get him something personal, or perhaps something he can REALLY use... or that he REALLY needs. Our daughter is 8 months old if that helps with Ideas.

Any Idea is a GREAT IDEA! thanx guys

HAHA I like that lingerie Idea! I would suggest, help your baby to make something for him from her. You can buy plaster sets, and perhaps press her hands into it, to make an EVERLASTING impression of her gorgeous little fingies and hands. (AWWW) And from you... TOOLS! Or, treat him to a lovely LONG candle- lit, massage, STOCKED with oils- lavender to help him relax. Try to encrust the bed with flower petals and little love letters. He will LOVE IT!

A first Father's Day is special for any new Dad. But remember that the gift is meant to be one of meaning between parent and child. A framed photo of dad and daughter together would be lovely, especially if you attached an inspirational "Father-Daughter" poem to it, that I'm sure you could find on the web somewhere. Happy 1st Father's Day to him.

how about just giving him the day off to do as he pleases? it doesn't cost a thing. make a nice breakfast and give him a card that says just that. everyone needs a day off from responsibilities now and then.

? how about a really good electric razor? you said nothing too expensive.... so think of what he would like that would be expensive, then get him a book about that... i love books...
i dont know his hobbies so for example if he likes fishing get him a book that talks about different fish, poles, good spots in the world for good catches...
