It becomes unfair as wicket-keepers hold more catches then regular fielders. e.g a poor but regular wk like Brendon Taylor or even O'Brien will always have more catches than best of fielders like Yuvraj Singh, Andrew Symonds, Paul Colingwood, or anyone else.
Besides that opening batsmen who stand at slips get more catches. Therefore there is inequality.
