I can go on live chat msn on another computer but just not my home one. Why? I do have an account that works but every time i try, it just comes up with "we were unable to sign you in to net.messanger, possibly there was a problem with your internet connection. Please make sure you are connected to the internet." However there is nothing wrong with my internet or my account and i do have a net.passport thing. How can i make it work? If you can help i would b very grateful. Thank you!

I would agree the firewall is the most likely option, if you don't know what to do, try control panel, add remove programs, find live messenger from the list of programs and click uninstall, then reinstall and if prompted by any firewall programs click to allow Internet access. (as most firewalls would configure MSN automatically, this may not be the cause) if reinstalling does work list your OS (i.e xp) and firewall program (i.e. Norton Internet security) and try for a better answer.

Do you have a firewall or a security software on the system? Highly likely that the fireawll is filtering the information being sent to the Internet. Disable the firewall then try to sign in. If you ain't pretty sure about disabling the security software then have it reconfigured to allow MSN/Windows Live Messenger full access to the Internet. Hope this helps.
