What about your local supermarket?
Much better than fast-food joints and pay and hours are better.
Apply online at Coles or Wooly's.
My son started at Coles at 15 and he earned $7,000 in the first year doing after school and weekends work. He's on the checkout (service assistant) and does bakery and produce some times. There is more opportunities for you there.
Kmart and Target is also a part of Coles - another bonus if you work for either you also get a discount card !

Good Luck job hunting.

Edit - I am sure you can get employed at 14 1/2 years of age in Qld.

Just an Idea, get your local telephone book out and go through the businesses that you would like to work at and hand in some resumes at each one. School Holidays are good for gaining jobs,
