After Joey was run out of Detroit and Miami passed on a long-term contract, did you expect to see him lead another NFL team?

Harrington is 100% guaranteed to be the starter, barring an injury, as the Falcons have no QB depth. That means Joey won't be battling for playing time like Charlie Frye or David Carr.

Seriously, I think Harrington should call the ASPCA and volunteer to appear in their public service ads.

Anyone luckier this season?

I'm not sure if he is lucky but he may be the slowest. Nobody will EVER mistake him for Vick. Complete reshuffling of the offense coming.

As a Lions fan I can truly say that Joey Harrington sucks and being in Atlanta will only show everyone exactly what I mean. Detroit, Miami and now Atlanta will fall at the hands of the Piano Man a.k.a. Joey Harrington.

Well sure maybe off-the-field luck, but he sure doesn't have any on-the-field luck!
Honestly, how many QB's can you name worse than Harrington over the past 5 years?
Atlanta would've been much better off sticking with D.J. Shockley, sort of like a Vick, but doesn't run as often. But guess what? He got injured last night! So now Harrington has even less competition. He is a joke to the league and a joke to whichever team actually pays him money to suck.

The words 9 lives is more like it for him, he's the luckiest SOB ever in the NFL. He got so many opportunity with 3 different team, to be the starting QB. If he fail at this opportunity as the starting QB for the Falcons, that mean he's just suck.

I'm not sure he is all that lucky. Now if he had a O-line built to protect the pocket and more weapons to get the ball to then I would call him lucky. In Detroit the stage was set for him to fail. Same in Miami. I don't see it getting much better in Atlanta

He'll only go as far as Crumpler, Joe Horn, and Warrick Dunn can take him. He has the talent around him and he doesn't have to take over a game to be dominant. He is a descent quarterback but Atlanta has got to be kicking itself for letting Matt Schuab go.

Lmfao@John. This section never seizes to amuse me. Anyway you were cute but you couldn't get the job done, nobody screwed you over. Matt Ryan and Trent Edwards are tops on my list. Btw , where you working now?

No, he is not lucky at all. He was brought into Atlanta as a backup - getting PAID as a backup. Now he has to do starter work for backup pay.

Now, if he does better than expected (how do you judge this, more than 3 wins?), than may be he gets a long-term deal. THEN he would be considered lucky.
