Let me tell you a secret. Scientist Priestly only coined the name "rubber" since it rubs off pencil marks. Even before this usage, rubber trees were in existence. Hence the (rubber) tree should have its original name: Hevea Brasilenesis.

It would would be very upset at first but point out the + side, it won't have to be made into rubber gloves and think about the awful places they have to go to sometimes !

Give him a treat, sit him down and tell him he is different to all other rubber plants, but it doesnt mean you will love him any less or treat him any differently.

using a rubber is important these days.and watering the plant also.so that nice experiences can stay nice.especially with you hahaha

I think that he will be able to take it. Just have a bowl of milk near you with some cotton wool, and while you tell him clean his leaves...he will feel a lot better for it and he will be cleaner

break it to him gently,then take it out for a nice meal at your local wyevale garden centre,"some nice peat and a nice bottle of water with a dash of baby buoy (shaken not stirred )should do the trick" and just be there for it, it will be fine.
