Yahoo's sense of humor is determined by the yahoo answerers! Those who aren't here to have fun have been reporting the avatar games and even resolved questions!
That is the only way some people get recognition!

Sainter and Spider are right to a degree. Yahoo has been clamping hard on the Avatar games. It seems that any question with the word 'avatar' in it gets booted. It makes you wonder if there is a Bot that automatically deletes them. I have also noticed that the house cleanings have hit regularly for the past month or so, on the weekend. So prepare for the clean sweep. The one that gets me is Sainter's question about something yellow. Over 500 people responded to that and he had over 200 stars. Same with Pickie Chickie's Beautiful Avatar game. Over 500 responses and 200 stars when it was pulled.
I have a theory on this...Most resolved questions are archived and then they are kept alive by the ability to rate the BA. That doesn't exist in these questions, they usually wind up with numerous thumbs up (but they cap at 50) so the person receiving BA who gets over 100 TU would be writing Yahoo and asking about the points they deserve. It would be a 'dead' question the moment it's resolved.
They take a long time to load on the page, and they have no place to put a dead question. There is only 'Resolved', 'Vote' and 'Open.' Even putting it to a vote could cause serious confusion. It would be left unresolved for a very long time. A lot of people would want those points (I know I wouldn't mind seeing 50 thumbs up and 10 for BA on my score sheet.)
Apparently, one of the reasons they give is because it takes away from other important questions because you have to 'squat' your position (this IS against the rules, if you get caught squatting, they send out violations for it.) and edit your answer. So, effectively, you are answering the question twice.
