Im raising money and wish to find a company in the UK that will take the coins and exchange them for £

If the coins have a significant precious metal content (Platinum, Silver or Gold = eg Maple Leaf, Eagles, Krugerrands) you should be able to sell them OK.

Also, some rear or ancient coins have value (you would need to take them to a specialist dealer)

However normal coins are essentially worthless outside the country where they are legal tender (at least in small quantities)

Those with a high copper content may be worth more 'per ton' than face value but the rest are worth much less than face a scrap metal prices.

What do you mean "pay for foreign coins"? several charities will take them of you, but I not sure i understand what you mean by "pay for"
