In India girls are ashamed to shave the lower body. Is it a dirty thing ?

Hi there. Shaving is not a dirty thing, on the contrary. Shaving your underarms for example helps keep away bad odours that cling to the hairs. To shave your legs start by getting in the shower & pouring lukewarm (not boiling hot) water on them. Continue by applying some shaving foam or gel on the leg. Start shaving from the bottom & work your way to the top of each leg with small upward moves. Remember to shave in the opposite direction the hair grows. Rinse, dry & use a calming body lotion. Once you get the hang of it you can start shaving more sensitive areas like your armpits and bikini line. Good luck!

In many culture's there are tabo's,you must ask yourself on how you would feel about this not others.You cannot not let other people sway you in your judgment about shaving or not.Just remember it will grow back,besides once you do this you just might like the way it feels, and how it looks.Now the best way to shave is trim the hairs with sciorrs ,if you like real short than use a barbers shear's to get the rest.Remeber it is not dirty keep and open mind it is your mind no one else.

No shaving hair in the lower body such as the legs or pubic area does not "have to" be shaved if the girl doesn't want to. I don't shave my pubic hair as much anymore because it can create additional problems.
Whether or not to shave is a matter of personal choice.

Let's get something straight here. NO!!! Not all women in the U.S. shave their legs, armpits etc. You should do whatever you want. If you want to shave go ahead and try it out. If you don't have access to shaving cream try lotion or hair conditioner. Find out what you like best. Its your choice and your's alone. Don't let anyone pressure you into something you don't want to do. You also don't have to shave completely, you can trim the hair with some scissors.

no, it is not dirty. Almost ALL American women shave their legs. In fact, it is considered weird if you don't. Also, in America, women shave their armpits. It is weird if you do not. Not to be too vulgar, but most younger women (such as yourself) shave their pubic area as well. If you do not shave down there, it is atleast customary to trim the hair. Hope it helped!

as u r 23 only it is not necessary to shave the hair located on the vaginal area..but try to keep it clean that area always..only problems comes when u marry..means when u enter relation ship with your partner ..it may irritate some people..at the same time some loves it....and i object to that statement made.. like in india girls are ashamed..now it is not like that...
even girls staying is hostels they will do it for each other

Trimming the pubic hair, waxing/shaving other body hair, that is the best in my opinion.
