i'm wondering if not every woman gets them, or if it happens to pretty much every one of us.

i was lucky i had two children and didnt get one on my thighs,hips,bottom and belly.but i did get them on my boobs quite bad.people have different elasticity in their skin every one is different.some get them bad and some get them slightly.but yeah some girls are born lucky and dont get any at all.

First off, it isn't a matter of luck being born with them or not. Stretch marks are a form of puberty for some girls AND even guys.

Stretch marks are a normal part of puberty for most girls and guys. When a person grows or gains weight really quickly (like during puberty), that person may get fine lines on the body called stretch marks. Stretch marks happen when the skin is pulled by rapid growth or stretching. Although the skin is usually fairly elastic, when it's overstretched, the normal production of collagen (the major protein that makes up the connective tissue in your skin) is disrupted. As a result, scars called stretch marks may form.

So yeah, there you go. Lol.

No, not every girl or woman will get stretch marks on the hips and thighs. I don't have stretch marks on my thighs or hips.

I never had them till i was pregnant...now im a train wreck off them. Depends on your skin. Some people never get them

i would say most of us do but maybe some of us get lucky
