my computer is 4 yrs old and i'm sure there would be a newer version of the bios .. n i wanna upgarde to it.. how do i do it ? n from where can i download the latest version of the bios.. ??

please help me.. n PS: i dont have a floppy drive on my computer... :(

First you will not need a floppy drive for this operation. Find your computer maker, find the (exact) number to your mother board, failing to get this correct will be a disaster. Check the link below for step by step instruction

I don't advise trying a BIOS upgrade unless you've installed different hardware than what came with the computer or it's not working properly. That would be a last resort. But it is possibly the first thing you'ld hear from tech support if they don't know how to fix your problem. LOL

Make sure you have the information on your motherboard, if you bought the computer from hp or dell, you can go to their website for updates, if its 3rd party parts, go to the motherboard manufactureres website and find your motherboard and it should have instructions on what to do once you have downloaded it. you must be very careful when you flash the bios, if you get the wrong one, or somehow mess it up, then you will have to buy a new motherboard.

you will be able to download the flash from your pc's website..be sure it is the correct 1 though ...if it isn't it can really mess up your pc

i woudlnt do this unless you think you really need to , you need the exact motherboard info and i hope it works for you when you are done
