she actually told me that i shouldnt talk bad about the military, which i didn't i told this guy he was retarded and he shouldnt join the military because he really is a complete moron and he would be shot on his first day there, but what angered me is that she was telling me not to use my first admendment rights in saying what i felt

i'm sorry, but the patriot is the worst thing that the government could pass, warrantless phone taps, a pass on a legal trial by jury, do not pass go do not collect your legal rights, in the bill you could say something in a joke on your phone, fbi comes takes you away and you are not heard from again, ok i know that was extreme but that is what the bill allows any of the offices to do, it takes away you rights

Hey, crunkful, which is it 10,000 or 100,000?

By the way, you didn't answer the question. You only gave me a non-sensical response.

And who would YOU suggest would be the largest group of terrorists?

One guy with a gun terrorized the east coast for weeks. A thousand al queda terrorists whose main goal in life is to hurt americans and her allies is not exactly a small threat. It only takes one person to walk in with a bomb in a crowded area to kill hundred, even thousands. Are you so blind that you cant see people like them as threats?

The patriot act is a great thing. Most of the provisions in it have been used to catch organized criminals for years and noone whined. Use them to catch terrorists and people freak out. If you really think you have privacy in this day and age you are fooling yourself. It is estimated that while you are out in public you are on video somewhere the majority of the time. If the gvt hears part of my phone conversations while looking for known keywords and phrases terrorists use then I say go for it. You do realize your cable and internet companies know exactly what you are watching and looking at everytime you turn on your tv and computer. I think you are a little paranoid. You just arent important enough for the gvt to care about.

I dont believe everything the gvt tells me but to sooo many Bush haters if you agree with the president on anything then you are brainwashed and a mindless robot. I have a hard time believing that you are impartial enough to truly tell us the truth about what your manager really believes. You probably think that anyone that agrees with anything Bush says is blind. There are a lot of things Bush does, esp domestically, I have a lot issues with, but there are plenty of things he is doing I agree with. That doesnt make me blind.

You are kind of a hyppocrite to tell her not to tell you not to bash the military. She has the freedom of speech to tell you not to bash the military doesnt she??? Freedom of speech doesnt mean that someone doesnt have the freedom to tell you to shut up if you say something stupid. It also isnt the freedom from consequences over what you say.

The patriot act does no such thing as the extreme things you are claiming. Have you even read it? or are you relying on other people to tell you about how you have no rights anymore? Every single person, including liberal democrats, that have looked and and really examined the nsa wiretapping program has PRAISED the program. They say it is a very impressive and important program. Didnt hear that part of the story in the press did you?

Al Queda, through its network of Jihadi Madrassas in Afghanistan and Pakistan, trained over 100,000 terrorists. Those terrorists have been, and currently are, performing "Hijra" (voluntary expatriation to commit Jihad). Cells gather in Beyits Al Shuhada (Martyrs' Houses) to plan and carry out attacks. What is truly worrisome was Usama Bin Laden including the U.S. in his declaration of war against the crusader nations in 1998. The other disturbing thing is that these Salafist Jihadists also accept the heresy of "Takfir" which says it's acceptable, in the waging of Jihad, for Muslim to kill Muslim.
You don't have to believe your manager. But, you need to learn something about these terrorists amd what makes them tick.

Let me guess, America is the biggest terrorist group and the patriot act has stolen all of your civil rights.

Perhaps it's time you learned to respect the right of others to hold beliefs that may not be the same as yours.

Yes, of course they can. Throughout history, there's been a large group of people who find it easier and more comforting to believe what the government tells them than to take the risk of questioning everything. Luckily, we live in a country that *demands* vigilance of its citizens.
