I don't think they should be because women are supposed to be attractive and 'outie' belly buttons are not attractive. They need to be dimpled. Not only this but in the Song of Solomon (book of the Bible) it says this about a woman's belly button: "thy navel is like a round goblet, which wanteth not liquor". Therefore, the belly button is supposed to go inward (so it would form a cup like a goblet) instead of being tied outward. No man should be surprised with his virgin bride on their honeymoon with an outward navel.

WHY yes all should be allowed to give baby girls 'outie' belly buttons. as you so elegantly put it with the song of Solomon, It says this about a woman's belly button: "thy navel is like a round goblet, which wanteth not liquor".Therefore, the belly button is supposed to go outward. for as it is saying, which wanteth not liquor. meaning no price too poor anything, Therefore the woman that Solomon is referring to has a belly button that you can NOT poor anything into, a OUTIE.
And No man should be surprised with his virgin bride on their honeymoon with an dirt pit full of germs and bacteria and smells like ***. Sorry but I will take the virgin with the nice clean Outie any day.
IS this the virgin you are talking about?? http://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2012/12/1-458-bacteria-species-new-to-science-found-in-our-belly-buttons/266360/ SO can you tell me just what is so attractive about a woman that has all of this in here Navel?

Honest to goodness, Sandy...

how your mind wanders....

Doctor's don't "give" a baby an outie belly button. It is a circumstance of the birth.

If an outie belly button is an awful surprise for a male on his honeymoon night, I'd recommend the young man not put himself in the circumstance of having a honeymoon night.

Honeymoon nights are not about belly buttons, dear.

Honeymoon nights are about the glorious consummation of love and committment between two people. Two people who are not perfect, have flaws and strengths, and who are madly in love with each other anyway.

What???

I don't think doctors have much control over that. They just cut the cord and nature takes over from there. Belly buttons are like earlobes or eye color...your genes determine what kind you get. Every body is beautiful.

You sure are weird. It doesn't depend on what the doctor does. It depends on how the belly button heals after the cord's tied off. That's what produces 2 different shapes, and you are just plain crazy.

Are you that obsessed with a woman's body instead of her mind? Sounds like you have some growing up to do!

They don't give belly buttons. The shape that you have is hereditary. After he/she cuts the umbilical cord, it takes it's own shape.
