I know a guy in the city where I live who rents old cell phones to visitors and students who are in town for a few days or weeks only.
Why dont you start a business like that where you live? Ask for a returnable deposit.

Well go on ebay, type in the name of your phone, and check what the phones are going for. But remember. Ebay takes about $1 to list the item, then they take 9% of the total price. So lets say you sell it for $50 and $8 shipping. They would take $5 out of that. Go on craigslist and see what other people are asking for the cell phones you have. The thing that stinks about craigslist is that you have to go meet the person. And sometimes the people never show. Don't go to a pawn shop though. I'm not exactly sure what phones you have. So i can't say what they'll give you at a pawn shop. But they wont even give you anywhere near half of what its worth. And don't go to best buy or radio shack like the other person said. I think best buy only gives you a give card for their store. I checked their site, and it says it wont give me any money at all for my phone that i could sell on ebay which i could currently get $200 for. They just want me to recycle it to them. I looked up a phone worth $400 on ebay, and they would give an $83 gift card. Not too sure about radio shack, but im sure its the same thing. A rip off.
