REASONS FOR ABOLISHING QUOTA SYSTEM:
A country will develop only when it's people work hard and produce wealth. Only meritorious people ca deliver goods and services ina betterway. Japan has develop0edrapidly after the debacle insecond world war. Small countries likeTaiwan, Singapore etc. have alsodeveloped very fast. Even themost populouscountry, China which got independence after us also developed and is becoming super power. All this development is because of the utilisation of the talents of the people to the maximum extent.
REASONS FOR CONTINUATION OF THE QUOTA:
There is a pecarious situation in India which is to be properly understood in viewing this problem.
Jawaharlal Nehru in his "The Discovery of India" gives a vivid picture of an Indian who is different from an American or German or a French. For example an American thinks himself as100% American and he works for his country. But due to several invasions say by Aryans, Tuglaks, Mangols, Mogals, british etc., the Indian people have undergone several changes and there is no identification as Indians. The Aryans have classified the society in to four groups the priests and ministers, the rajas and rulars, the merchants and others performing agriculture and all domestic works. The classification has developed in the form of casteism and different castes evolved. The education to the working class was banned earlier except to the remaining three classes. Only after the invasion by the British the education has been extended to all the classes for strenghtening their rule. Recognising the backword ness of the working classes, Chatrapati Sabuji Maharaj, Maharastra of Kolhapur has introduced notification creating 50% reservationsion in services for backward classes/ committes in the state of Kolhapur to eradicate poverty from amongst them and to give their due share in the state administration. But unfortunately the problem of untouchables became a big task and enumeration started in 1806 and gained momentum in the census up to 1931. The momentum for reservations to the depressed classes and backward classes started and gained momentum mostly from TamiNadu. Leaders and reformers like Periyar, Jyotiba Phule, Babasaheb Ambedkar etc. have taken this problem to the new heights. After Independence, in the Constitution of India headed by Dr. B.R.Ambedkar reservations were announced to the scheduled castes and scheduled tribes in education, jobs and promotions depending their ratio in the population. Regarding other backward classes, it is recommended to examine the case. Ultimately after Mandal Commission, reservations to the other backward classes was introduced after 1993, only in recruitment with an exemption for creamy layer whose annual income is more than one lakh rupees.
The argument that the efficiency will decrease by reservations is also a valid reason. But the backward/depressed classes were deprived of education since several centuries. Just recently only they started educating themselves and it will take time to compete with the higher classes. Hence reservation is essential for the development of these classes. The concept of creamy layor can be extended to all reservation categories. This is essential since the man who is developed due to reservation policy is joining the higher strata of the society neglecting his society and developing his own kith and kin. Until the whole population of India becomes literate and poverty is eradicated, the reservations may be continued.

After 60 years of independence, all Indians have been made self reliant. Education has been made available to all. There are more jobs available than the population in India. But those who choose to remain poor do not change. A beggar can own a mobile and move in autos when he gets a message that another temple or church is drawing crowds. But he will not be willing to take a job. A backward class student takes a course on account of quota system, but cannot afford to buy a computer, thus depriving a meritious student from his admission. So let us make our country more self reliant rather than continue quota system. Let students work hard and earn a merit or scholarship and reach the standards of merit students. By this we can do away with quota system just as our leaders tried to do away with caste system.
I hope this speech will suffice to satisfy your school.

Quota system in India should be abolished as soon as possible.
Reasons :-
(1) It is a shamelss compromise on merit under the pretext of improving the so called dalits.
(2) The quota system was supposed to last only for 15 years after independence as agreed between Mahatma Gandhi and Ambedkar, etc.
(3) Dalits' conditions are never improved even with 60 years of the existence of the quota system, revealing the unpardonable hypocrisy on the part of politicians and those at the helm of affairs.
(4) Quota system really does not improve the country. For improvement, spiritual awareness is more effective than the quota system.
(5) In India, all people are said to be equal. Then, why reservations for some people?
(6) If at all quota is to exist, it should be for those who bring special honours to the nation or for those who render some special service to the country, such as freedom fighters, etc, and not for the people born in low castes, etc.
(7) People are born in low castes due to their past sins. Then how can such people be considered special to enjoy quotas? Quotas for sinners?

When ambedkar and other leaders approached sardar patel for implementing reserv quota,he granted permission for only ten years .After that its being periodically revived every ten years!
The step towards secularism by abolishing caste, creed etc becomes incomplete with existance of quota. If the talented belong to both upper and lower castes. But then why favour the lower caste alone?

India launches a new type of space shuttle tat s gotta do a first-in-the-world life-existance-research on mars.
American president George Bush calls up Indian scientist Dr.APJ abdul kalam. he asks him if he can take along wit their rocket an american astronaut. he says we ll have a btr mutual relationship and research techniques can b shared.
dr. abdul kalam says :
"Iam really sry sir, our space shuttle can hold only 10 passenegers. there r already 5 SC/ST, 3 MBC, 2 BC and 1 astronaut on board. i can neither remove our indian astronaut nor do i hav permission to remove the other qouta ppl. so kindly excuse me!"
