Both of them are acceptable. But I suggest you look at the website of some universities see what score range they want and after that select the best option and take the test

but as far as I know PBT is the easiest exam.

TOEFL is good for USA and Canada. IELTS is good for going UK and Australia. The best time to be taken is before applying to the universities abroad. Scores from 7 in IELTS and 250 in TOEFL are considered good. There is no age limit for this, as you may take them for doing an undergraduate course to any thing higher like research.

I believe TOEFL. It may seems a little harder but as far as I know they accept it in all the famous universities. With a computer based more than 215 I think you have many chances to get in a good college. If you are a native speaker I beleive you won't have a problem to reach 230. Just have your time in your paper and manage your time. I believe TOEFL is better, as it seems stronger paper when you apply in a uni.
Hope I helped
P.s Do not forget to check what the college you apply for , accepts as a proof of english language. Many of them accept only the TOEFL, or the IELTS.

IELTS has a wider scope especially for Indian students. Some take this examination while studying in A level board and if they want to study their graduation abroad. It is said the earlier one takes the test it is better for them.An IELTS score of 8 is considered to be quite high.If you are aiming to study in U.K. IELTS is the best option.Even American Universities are accepting IELTS scores. An IELTS score has a validity of 5 years.

In US you decide on TOEFL. And the educational attempt required is minimum. if your English language command is common adequate you will only choose some weeks training and score a one hundred+ on one hundred twenty. Take the TOEFL IBT try to confirm you e book a good date earlier hand.

Hi

Please ask yourself the reason why you are taking this exam. Please understand that both exams are good and very widely accepted but IELTS is beggining to gain ground as it is being made a compulsory test by the govt and employers alike from certain countries like Australia. so please look at why you are giving the test rater that which one is 2 or three percent better than the other..

All the best and have fun giving ... I would say IELTS
