I guess when Telling the truth will cause mass hysteria, and cause more harm than good. But in the same breath I will hope thats a strategy to correct the problem which he will later reveal.

I'm pretty cynical about it. I feel that politicians are so dishonest, so often, that what they say is of little import - it's often hard to even puzzle out thier true intentions from what they do.

To answer your comment, I also wouldn't want the politician to induce panic by continuously stating if we don't fight them "there", they will walk down Main St, USA, and kill us all.

NEVER! They have no reason to lie. If they are doing the job they were elected to do, not selling weapons, not falsifying records to go to wore, or and to cover up scandals..then what do they have to lie for?

Never. The people will always find out eventually anyways. Even if for the "Greater good" DOES NOT fly with me. There is too much capitolism in the way of our Democracy for that BS.
