if your performance falls short of perfect, how do you console yourself?

I don't. It takes a while; i can be somewhat of a perfectionist at times and i would beat myself up for it but you know what, time and experience are the best teachers. they're not good at the consoling stuff, but pretty good teachers nonetheless

I'm not perfect and never perform perfectly.
there r always some shortcomings.
but u know something - ' i love being imperfect'

I get angry, tell myself to stop thinking about it, listen to some rock, and watch Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, or something else on YouTube. Weee! Escapism. Then, whatever happened that made me feel angry just fades. No biggie.

Escapism, I'll try to translate my feelings into music, almost like meditation, finding the right note that helps me reach transcendence.

I pat myself on the back and say "it's ok MY NAME". I actually say "my name". Then I laugh because I just called myself "my name". I laugh for around 20 minutes, then I smile for another 10. I usually feel better afterwards.

i don't need to console myself if i'm not perfect, i just do my best with what i've got and that's good enough for me.

Don't let others tell you you are imperfect.
