im thinking about un capping them at my connector (where the headers meet) just want to see what it sounds like, but whats the down side to doing this?

Are you talking about uncapping headers or just undoing the exhaust system of your stock car? Mainly, the down pipe on the exhaust? If you do have headers, then it will be loud, and will draw attention, that will include Johnny Law too. Plus you will have to recap the headers. They will be hot also, so be careful. Good luck

you do NOT want to do that unless you plan on blowing the engine and having to buy a new one....The seal on the headers helps PREVENT air and such from getting into the engine. You run the risk of getting dirt and water and bugs and other crazy stuff on the engine.
