Would it be betther to buy Welding Supplies/ fabrication supplies from some online Website like Ebay or is it better to buy them brand new from a company...and Why?

Go whatever is cheapest but has good quality used or not. Price is the most important thing!

We have had good success with online purchases but, when it's big items I still tend to want to look local to save the shipping fees on the bigger items. Since this involves some pressure things you might want a guarantee of some sort? For safety reasons?

My personal opinion is that on ebay you're dealing with a faceless person and if they don't behave properly you have recourse through ebay--if they haven't absconded with your cash. A company with a face and a reputation is a place to start business dealings. Once you have established a relationship then order on line.
