First of all, get your camera ready and take a pic the day it blooms because they don't last long. (It's an event!!)

Give it some cactus food after it blooms and make sure to let the soil dry before you water.

I live in the desert near Palm Springs, California and there are some beautiful cactus planted throughout my property. My favorite is the prickly pear and the saguaro.

Good luck with the cactus, glad you are taking good care of it----GRANNY DOES TOO.

Its ok to feed it lightly, like half stength fertilizer. And just give it a good deep drink. Don't fuss over it. Enjoy. Hopefully you will get blooms every year.

Cacti are not really so much differnt than most plants. They like being watered, just cannot tollerat wet roots. If you have it planted in sandy/gravely soil you should be fine.

OH, and do take pix! It may open at night, and fade really fast.

Know that some cactus only bloom every 100 years or so and this sounds like it's your lucky year! Take lots of pictures while in bloom and whatever you're doing...KEEP DOING IT! I would refrain from making any changes at the moment because it wouldn't be blooming if something was wrong....good luck and enjoy it!

I started watering mine and they bloom like crazy! I feed them maybe once a year with a fertilizer --not always so it did not make much of a difference.

Greek Tortoise, and that they are enormously comparable as interior the care of Russians. Any tortoise is extra suitable off in an open cage, as in no glass aquariums. Basking temperature approximately ninety-ninety 5 and dropping 10 tiers at nighttime. Use over head lighting fixtures for warmth, and that they choose supplemental UVB lighting fixtures. Any vegetables, extraordinarily dandelion, romaine, kale, are great. attempt shredding carrots, squash, alfalfa, ect. only no broccoli or spinach, they bind calcium. attempt sprinkling supplementations on the nutrition accepted and D3 supplementing as quickly as each week. Soak them in luke heat water as quickly as each week, and grant a water bowl sufficiently huge for them to soak in of their cage. Theyre an extremely hardy and subject-free to look after tortoise species.
