Networking problem?

I am trying to network my laptop through my desktop for internet connection, but i can not remember the security key passcode. Is there a way to find it on my desktop?

that address requires username and password. don't know what that is :-(

You can change it by visiting your router control panel, typically http://192.168.1.1

UPDATE: If you've forgotten the username and password for your router, look at the router and identify what model and make it is -- look this up online to find the users manual for it and it will tell you the default username and password. try logging in with those -- if it fails, look on the router for a small reset button (you'll need a paperclip to press the button usually) -- hold the button in for 30 seconds and then try logging in again.
