Dubya's daddy said it as a campaign promise, "Read my lips! No new taxes!" And then within a year after being elected, went back on his promise and enacted new taxes and raised existing taxes. Congress also enacted law that a politician could not be held accountable for a campaign promise, which meant Dubya's daddy could blatantly, knowingly, LIE about taxes and not be held accountable for the lie! Talk about being above the law, the politicians exempted themselves from having to live up to any promise, or anything they said for that matter. Don't blame me! I didn't vote for EITHER of the shrubs!

The person who said, "read my lips; no new taxes," was George H.W.Bush.
He said that during the Presidential campaign.
Later, when dealing with a huge Reagan budget deficit, he compromised with Congress in order to try to balance the budget, and eliminate the deficit. - He did the ABSOLUTELY RIGHT thing, and it probably cost him the election.
Clinton continued the policy, and the US wound up with a $238 billion surplus.
George W. Bush essentially gave away the surplus to the wealthy. Five months after he took office, it was gone.
(I don't understand what you mean by: "What is the networth?")

One of Bush 41's campaign promises that he didn't keep his word on. He said he wouldn't raise taxes then after he was elected he not only raised them but added more taxes. Imagine that, must be where Bush 43 learned how to operate. Say anything and then chuck it when you win and do what you want. I wonder if it's genetic in that family...
