and they made you wait to get the food you actually ordered, then they tell you that the whole meal is free and they really apologize and we werent even really mad, (stuff happens), and they bring you free beers, wouldnt you leave the poor waitress a fat tip? this happened to us today, and it didnt even really bother me, so i left the poor girl a really nice tip (still cheaper than our meal with beers would have been) and hubby thought we should have still only left 20%. what a scrooge. what would you have done?

Oh yeah she would have gotten a fat tip from me... she made amends... problem solved! Now if that would happen to my aunt who is going through menopause without the help of meds... she would have decked the waitress, found the chef bit*h slap him and burnned the place down... using the flames to light her ciggie on the way out! scary woman, very scary indeed! Her and I never do lunch, if you get my drift!

The other day we went to Carabas (an expensive Itallian restraunte) and our poor waiter accidently splashed some of my chocolate margarata on me when he was tring to shake it up. He felt so bad. He brought me a whole new one in addition to the 3/4 of the first one that made it into the glass. Then he brought my husband one, then he brought us both free wine. So by this time we were to drunk to remember about the earlier splash and left a good tip.

I waited my way through college and think anyone who stiffs a server is a bad person and should not be allowed to eat out! How horrible! They are just trying to make a good honest living. You did the right thing. Just like in your job, servers don't mean to make a mistake, it just happens sometimes.

I used to be a manager of a fast food restaurant (KFC) and the employees sometimes had bad days, they would screw up. I would always make sure the customer left happy.
I have also been a waitress, sometimes things get messed up. We all are human and therefore make mistakes. I would never take it out on anyone as long as the problem was fixed. Yes, I would have left a good tip.

i always leave a tip, for pete's sake. hate, hate, hate it when the order is wrong, but, hey, if they make up for it, cool!
i leave a better tip to those that are really good. my husband doesn't like it. when the beer is ice cold and they open the door to the outside so you can view the lake and be cool in the air-conditioned that is worth a huge tip.

human beings will insist on ordering your meal as long as you take a seat there & enable it. i don't order for every physique different than myself while going to a eating place. i understand what i want, simply by fact no one else can examine my thoughts. talk up the subsequent time you bypass out to consume, & somebody tries to reserve your meal. decide to bypass final while ordering, then look rapidly on the waiter/waitress & order your nutrients. If somebody butts in, faux they don't look to be there & in simple terms talk a touch louder, while polishing off your order. try this some circumstances & they're going to get the message. i've got in no way heard of grown adults, ordering for somebody else while that occasion is able to make their very own determination while ordering. yet differently to provide up those human beings from ordering your meal, is to not bypass out to consume with them anymore. tell them you're bored with entering right into a controversy while it includes ordering what you want. in simple terms bear in thoughts, human beings will in basic terms do what you enable them to do.

If it was the waitress' fault then no, she wouldn't have got a dime, but if she (or he for that matter) was blameless, then I'd have done the same thing you did.
