I think that is is the other way around. RussiaI, Iran, and possibly China are trying to force another confrontation. Putin is clearly pushing for a communst style goverment (the commies are still there in Russia). Russia wants Irans oil. All three are scared because countries in their vecinities or with resources they want are supporting the West and not them.

Unfortunately this one may well be a Hot, Hot, Very Hot War. For those who believe in "the prophecy" at some point the Sun will be blackened out and the moon will not give her light. This is in several places in the Bible. Many have assumed that it will be the result of dust forced into the air by a comet.

I think that the A Design Science Revolution based upon the "Sports Model Economy" is an economy that both East and West can live with and may be our last chance to avoid "Nuclear Winter."

I dont think so US would want that! If US starts war with Russia again, US will really get "HIT" very hard! US economy will sharply go dooooooooooooooowwwwwwwn and its military will sharply decline. Russia is not a country like Iraq or Iran, it is a country that matches US. If US ever starts a war with Russia, Us will have the nato countries as allied. But Russia will have Iran, the former soviet empire, China, probably Venezuela and Eritrea (this 2 are weak in military but arent in a very good relations with US), etc. Afterall, Russia this time might be declared as a winner. So do u think US will risk these chances? It would be thinking "naaaa, better watch over my oil than lose it all over fighting with that bear".

Those days are over. Russia is a second-rate player and no one is afraid of either country. Neither Russia or the US could handle Afghanistan, and all we have done in Iraq is to make a big mess. North Korea, Iran, and Venezuela routinely punk the US President to his face just for laughs and because they can. China holds a ton of our notes and can crash the US dollar if they choose, and the Euro is the threatening the USD as the international currency of choice. Doesn’t it make you homesick for the good-old-days?
