Yes.

Any President of the United States always had the power to declare Marshall Law through an Executive Order and suspend the US Constitution, at which point the President will remain in office for the duration of the order.

The act of suspending the US Constitution will also negate any powers of the Legislative Branch (House and Senate) and the Judiciary Branch.

It is supposed to be used only in a dire emergency, such as a direct and invasion of the United States by a foreign government.

Only Congress can eliminate term limits, and as long as Bill Clinton and GW Bush are around they are not likely to set it up for either one to run again.

There is an executive order in place since last May that allows the president to declare martial law, I think they call it continuity of government in case of national emergency, but the Bush version allows for no intervention by Congress so there is a huge potential for abuse there. If he declares martial law and suspends our elections I guess he could be president for life just like Castro. Hopefully although this is a possible scenario it is certainly not likely.

Oh and Hugo Chavez didn't eliminate term limits you fool. He submitted a request to amend their Constitution to allow for a third term and their Congress passed it.

No. That requires an amendment to the Constitution. First of all, the president has no -- NO -- authority in the amendment-making process. First the amendment must be introduced and passed by the Congress. Then it must be ratified by the state legislatures. The president can certainly plead the Congress to pass the amendment, but that's all. And given this Democratic Congress, it's not going to happen.

The only ones who could eliminate term limits is Congress. They'd have to draft a bill, then do their whole part, and then send it to him to sign.

But even if he did eliminate term limits, he wouldn't get re-elected. As hated as he is in America, there's no way on Earth we'd vote for him again

don't let the ranting of the left frighten and fool you.
The right have no plans to do any such thing only fear mongering of the left to frighten children into hate for the President.
