There is an eclipse of the moon (lunar eclipse) on 28 August. This is when the full moon goes into the earth's shadow .

A full eclipse of the Moon will occur on the 27th of August. It will be visible in some parts of the US, as the eclipse will be in process as the moon rises. BTW, Mars will be unusually bright that night, and with a red Moon (the way it looks when fully eclipsed) and a red Mars, it should be a good night for viewing.

Early morning on August 28th. This will be a total lunar eclipse starting at 6am EDT until 7:30am EDT (3am PDT until 4:30 PDT).

the 28th of August there is a total lunar eclipse. But you will have to get up at 4 a.m. in the morning to see it.
