Hi. Depending on where your are you can see Sirius, Alpha Centauri, etc, but Vega is the 4th brightest star at about 27 lightyears. As to their height, there is no apparent relationship to brightness vs distance. The brightest one are either close or bright. Deneb is bright but is 1,600 lightyears distant. Sirus is much closer but has less intrinsic brightness.

Dont know if this is the answer you are after but as the earth turns on its axis, the stars move across the sky. There will be a time when the stars are high in the sky (at the zenith) as they move towards the western horizon.

Your question has bad grammar but the reason is because after about 2km of vision we loose the ability to judge difference in space. So the closest star might look like the furthest away because is it the weakest but the furthest star may look the closest because it is the brightest look up "globular clustar" in google images and in the middle is a blur it looks closer but the surronding stars are in the fore-ground

As they get closer to the horizon there is much more to diminish their light as they get higher they appear brighter.
