Can you afford to fall in love these days?

I can't. I've got no money and no place to call my own.

I don't believe in "falling in love", it almost makes me think of someone helplessly falling in some sort of emotional pit with no escape....too melodramatic for me.

I think that, in part, we humans have a choice in the matter, as to who we care for, and choose to nurture those "feelings" which later become what we call "love", a chemical reaction, as well as, a spiritual connection with another person.
Of course, nature is a most important part, if not the most important.

And through these elements, science, nature, choice and spirituality, an intricate and beautiful connection takes place between two people, or however many.

But I also agree with the person above me, don't think it has anything to do with money or a home...there are people in this world who have both and no one to care for, or someone that reciprocates their devotion.
External things like money and a home, while being important, are in a very different category, its humans and our greed for MORE, that doesn't allow us to differentiate.

All of this is in my opinion.
