ask your doctor before you do anything.however they would not want you to go so long with out bowel movement.try fiber 1 cereal.however if that doesnt work call the hospital and ask what to do.i dont think they want the staples soft.no dont use anything on them with your doc saying it is ok.

first, do not wait, see a doctor asap, you have a urinary tract infection and it needs to be treated or it can travel to the kidneys.
After major abdominal surgery it is common to suffer with constipation, are you getting enough exercise, just simple walking will help to get those bowels active again, also you need to be drinking at least 2 liters of water daily, or the fibercon will turn to concrete in your gut and compound your problem.

all that sounds normal. some people put antibiotic ointments on surgical incisions. i don't recommend that due to the fact that it keeps the area moist and may prevent wound healing. you can go to the drug store and buy a bottle of mag citrate. it normally comes in 100 ml bottles, drink the entire bottle.

No, You need to Call your Dr. Immediately. This is not normal. Seriously Call and let them know. I would call the ER and let them know what is going on, Talk to a DR. or nurse on call. Seriously Get the Phone NOW.....
