I think Ann Coulter is more than fair game... and I also think that she loves the attention of not being liked so no I don't think it is undignified... Besides, she has many times accused him of not addressing her himself.
I won't lose any sleep over the question of dignity on this one.
This goes for Rush and the majority of Fox commentaries.
I also don't have a problem with a GOP candidate calling out a popular inflammatory blogger or pundit. The news media and people like Ann Coulter have made it impossible to ignore the sniping and the personal attacks (I can remember Coulter's hair jokes more than I remember her having a argument with his proposed policies).

Considering what Ann Coulter is, calling her a she-devil is quite dignified. I'd call her curse words and make less than dignified gestures when referring to her.
And to Tom who is an answerer, calling someone a "Girlie-man" is sexist and you are being called on it. There's absolutely nothing wrong with being a woman or having womanly qualities. I suggest that you find a shrink to talk about your narcissistic tendencies and to discuss your problems with women. We are not only men's equals, but in your case, we are your superiors.

Coulter helped make Edwards into a joke. Of course, his elitist haircut and football field sized mansion robbed him of all credibility as a "fighter for the poor." But Coulter neutered him politically. He's a minor candidate and never mentioned in the same breath as Clinton and Obama, and he's mad.

simply by fact the sole Presidents we've had have been white adult men, and maximum of them have been older, McCain by skill of default -- the different 2 are not quite interior the working. despite the fact that, in a 12 months, the definition of "seems Presidential" could have replaced.

It's less than dignified, but no real surprise. Kind of ranks up there with the "Major League A****le remark" from GWB a few years back.
Oh, what blood sport politics is.

First off, Ann Coulter isn't a private citizen. Secondly, Edwards sunk to her level by engaging in the same kind of name-calling that Coulter herself engages in.

Freedom of Speech is all I can say. It doesn't have to be dignified.
All I know is that I'm sick and tired of the woman. To me, she's politically retarded. If she was going off on Liberals because of their policies, it would be different. But if you've noticed, everytime she's bashed a Liberal, it's because of their looks.
As if she had room to talk...

Edwards is an idiot, a girlie-man who is better suited for walking the catwalk than running for president. Do you really want someone who made his fortune suing hospitals with medical malpractice suits and driving up health care insurance costs for the poor that he claims to understand. This is a guy who flies and spend $1200 on his hairdo.

Yes I agree a bit of a slip up on his behalf, but you got to admit, Ann has been blessed with the gift of the gab herself, and she sure does know how to go for the jugular, however, she tell's it like it is, and that's a welcome breath of fresh air, in my humble opinion, unlike that total fake plastic guy Edwards.
