all depends on the actual distance. you could drive slowly 45 minutes out somewhere, or drive quite a distance taking the highway in 45 minutes.

so figure out the distance, they say the average human being can walk 1 mile within 15 minutes.

Insufficient data. It depends on how fast that car is going when it takes 45 minutes to get there. A person could be stuck in traffic and only cover a few miles in that time, or that person could be on a freeway and go 45 miles or more in that amount of time.

Also, you have to consider the route to the destination. There are some places where the most direct route by car would be a freeway and there would be no sidewalk or other safe passage for a pedestrian, so to walk to that destination might mean taking a different, and probably longer, route.

It also depends on how fast you walk. some people only go 1-2 miles an hour, while others maintain a brisk pace and can go 3-4 miles an hour.

Okay lets say it's 45 miles away. That's about 20 minutes a mile walking about 3 miles an hour. 20 minutes per mile times 45 miles is 900 minutes divided by 60 would be 15 hours. That's if you didn't stop at any Piggly Wiggly's or Stahvin Mahvins or Starv'n Marvins for munchies and drinks. Then you'd have to go to the bathroom somewhere along the way. Plus the food would slow you down for a while. Better take a canteen of water or your favorite soft drink. No don't do soft drinks. You might get dehydrated. Water is the only way to go.Take a bicycle, it will be a little faster. Maybe 7 1/2 hours.

Blue that would be 9 hours at 12 minutes a mile. You're leaving a few steps out of your of your math.
At your speed of 10 minutes per mile it would take you 7.5 hours to go 45 miles. Take plenty of water.

An assumption that this is a straight line trip and car is averaging 60 miles per hour makes a trip of 45 miles , walking speed is 3 mph so it will take 15 walking hours, but most people walk only 8 hours daily, they stop to rest, eat, and sleep. Makes travel time about 2 days, same as on horseback...(20 to 25 miles per day.)

Too many variables to figure. You could drive for 45 mins in a circle, or you could drive for 45 min. doing a straight line at a 120mph. With traffic sometimes you can almost walk there faster than driving sometimes.

For you to figure it out, find out how fast you are driving and then figure out how far you went in 45 min. Then divide that by the speed that you walk. Then you will know. good luck.

first assumption: the speed limit is 60mph and
you drive 45 min or miles

2nd assumption - you can walk a 8 minute mile (means your really fit!)

so if we divide 45 by 8 ---we get 5.625 hours that would prob be a minimum
if you walk a 12 minute mile than it will take you 3.75 hours

thanks for asking...good luck ♥
