I'm currently attending DeVry. My GPA is pretty good right now (3.5ish currently). Will it be hard to get into UOP's Eberhardt's Business School? Alot of people say that DeVry is a trade school..so it's not exactly a school. But it is accreditted and I'm getting my Bachelor's in Financing there...so do I have a chance? I'm getting my Bachelor's at DeVry. I would like to get my MBA from UOP's Eberhardt Business School.

Some places just don't accept trade schools even if they are accredited. I know it's not right but just try them that's the only way you will know.

When DeVry says that it is accredited, their accreditation is not the one which would count for a traditional business school like Eberhardt - AACSB. The entire university is regionally accredited, which basically means that it isn't mishandling its funds badly and that it is pursuing its stated mission. AACSB, on the other hand, looks at the quality of the business program. UOP has AACSB accreditation.

Most MBA programs don't care much about extracurricular activities, and only some are really concerned about job experience. Like most graduate programs, their major concern is with GPA and GMAT score. I don't know if UOP will take your DeVry degree, since they have worked hard to improve their image lately, but you might ask them.

Some schools look for at least a few year's job experience before they accept anyone for an MBA program. Ask the school -- they will tell you what they want. DeVry is fully accredited-- it is not just a trade school anymore.

I dunno about Finance. But I know in Psychology (what I am in), you need to have a GPA of at least 8.0 (B-),preferabley a 9.0 (A-). Two letter of reference, volunteer experience in the field, and be within the top percentile in a test we have to take and a Thesis.

I would contact the head of that department and ask. Every school is different, albeit very similar.
