/teaching would be serving the country contrary to popular notions the military is not a service but a discredit . your mortality rate is better in teaching as well .

Teaching- Far more people will benefit over the period of a lifetime. You may not live a full life in today's military.

well teaching can be a service to the country in many ways, but i get the jist of the question
i would go military
