Has anyone ever seen a ghost or felt their spirit/energy?

Question

I know someone who can see ghosts (very clearly) and strangly enough alot of my in laws can as well. (Almost like it runs in the family...) However I only know one person who sees them often and he feels intense emotions everytime that he does. He has talked about it to me a few times before, but it is usually very upsetting for him to experience, let alone talk about it. What is it like to see a ghost? Besides the initial fear, what sort of feelings do you get? Does anyone know what makes some people able to see ghosts and others not? Is it really something that few are born with, or is it something that all people have inside of them yet only some know how to use it?

Please be serious when answering. I do believe in ghosts, and I trust AND believe the people that confide in my about their abilities. If you do not believe in ghosts, I fully respect that, but please don't put me (or my friends and family) down. Thank you! : )

I have seen ghosts/or shadows moving since i was quite little. But more so than seeing I feel. Sometimes so strongly that it does scare me. I also get visits in my dreams QUITE often!

To see a ghost for the first time in my experience was a double take, meaning i did a double take to make sure i actually saw what i thought i saw. IT was still there a lady in the window of an old house. My mother saw it and had been taking a photo. She was in the photo too!

It seems to run heavily in my family on my mothers side. We seem to be very in tuned with this ability because it was something that was accepted in the family as Normal. (My fathers side of the family was more religious and thought of it as silly nonsense)

I think everyone is able to have the ability to see them if they choose to. But most spirits will not come forward until they are sure they wont frighten.

I am a true believer, I have a cousin that can see all the women in our family that has passed. An she will be sitting straight up in bed an she caring on a conversation with them. I use to be able to smell my mother at times. I live in a home that was built in 1910 an all around our little neighborhood there are graves marked an unmarked. In our bedroom u can see alot of people moving its like there all going somewhere an you can smell a sweet smelling cigar or pipe. I was told that if your really really wanting to see or talk to someone over the other side they want come. You have to just let your mind go (no thoughts) what so ever. They will come when you least expect it.

Well when i was little i i thought i saw ghost. I think they appear differently to different people. I remember this on time where i was looking out my Grandmother's window and i saw a man walking outside and he just walked to her gate then disappeared just like that. I told my mom about and she said the man i described sounded just like my grandfather who had passed before i was born. That wasn't scary but there are times that were scary and i would only see faces and hear some voices. Now it doesn't really happen as much but i can kind of sense when they are around. They don't scare me any longer but sometimes it just feels like they want something. Like they need something and i wonder what it is. Well yeah i know i sound kind of crazy but i read this and i was like OMG i have to share this with you. Well good luck.

The first time I saw a ghost vividly, I was just 9. I had just walked into the bathroom to rinse my hands, soon as I cut on the lights and looked up in the mirror, I saw her vividly. I was so terrified that I raced out of the bathroom like a flash of lightning. In a frantic, I described to my mother what this older woman with 2 gray braided pig-tails looked like, she explained to me that it sounded like her grandmother who died when I was 2, had come to pay me a visit. My mother told me to pray to God to ask him that I never see anything like that again until I could better understand it.

The next episode where I saw a ghost, I had just come home from a date, my date had walked me into my apartment, I turned away from him and turned around to cut on the TV, when I turned back around to give my date a hug his face was not his, it was the face of my ex boyfriend that I had lost contact with, and it stayed that way for about a whole minute or so. When my ex's face changed back to my dates face, by that time my face was wet with tears, because again, I didn't understand why I was seeing someone that I was in love with like that.(at the time I didn't know that he had passed on) Probably 6 months later I learned that my ex boyfriend had been killed a year earlier. My date thought I had went crazy, bursing into tears like that. When I explained to him what I just saw, he really didn't believe me and when I finally convinced him that I was telling the truth about what I had seen, he thought evil had to be envolved.To make a long story short, other occurrences have happened to me as well. So yes I am definetly a believer, and am so glad that I have found this forum. Thanks for allowing me to share my encounters. T

some week in the past i did no longer SEE a ghost, yet i heard a door slam upstairs in my domicile (together as i became on my own). needless to say no person became with me, so i took a knife from the kitchen and went upstairs to make certain what the commotion became. My mothers and fathers door became thoroughly close even nevertheless i understand for a fact that it became open earlier. I checked to make certain what ought to have occurred and the window became closed and the fan became no longer on. I then examined it, I opened the door to make certain if it ought to have only close via itself, and it only stayed open. It became a noisy slam so it had to take tension to even close all of it the way. any further I only pass away the door all the way close, because of fact in spite of if there's a ghost interior the domicile, i certainly do no longer choose to here it making freaky noises. as long because it does not injury me...i'm solid. lol

We all have the power to see and experiences spirits or ghosts. You have to tap into this power and open your self up to a new world of possibilities. I have the power to communicate with spirits and have tremendous psychic abilities. It's the best thing that ever happened to me.

Yeah. We have Charles in our house. Every now & then he will show his self. move something, make a noise, etc., etc., etc. My Daughter sees him alot. Some friends have seen him too. Just the other night,we had a small get together of about 10 or 12 friends. Two couples said to us, and i quote " You didn't have to have valet parking. Their keys were right by the car in the middle of the drive! We are just glad he is freindly.

I have seen two ghost so far. When i see them i get scared, just becuase it's surprising to see someone you dont know in you're house.

The first ghost i saw was weird, i was walking into my hallway and i was going to turn on the light and in the coner of my eye i see a bright white outline of a person just standing in the hallway, but of course when i turned on the light it was gone. It was like a bright light, but not bright like you can't look at it for a long time, i could it didn't hurt my eyes. I hope you understand that.

The second time was very scary actually. I was in my room in the middle of the night and i fogot to turn on my fan. My dog was sitting on the bed, so i tryed to get her off to come with me, but she wouldn't move and she was starring right by the t.v. so i just forgot about her and when i turned around there was this black figure standing right by my t.v. It was a little girl too. It looked like it was watching me, but it was very hard to see. Like i said it was just black, blacker then my dark room. And ever since that, there's been weird stuff happen around the house. Me and My mom came home and My mom was walking into her room and noticed her door was shut and she had left it open, then when she walked in her chair was on the floor and her bathroom door was open, which when she left was closed. She went to go ask my brother and he said he didn't leave his room at all. Then a couple weeks ago, my mom told me she was laying on her bed and she heard some little girls voice saying 'Mommy..Mommy.' she thought it was me, but i told her i wasn't in their. My mother hasn't lost a child, so she doesn't know this girl.

I believe in ghost, and i think their all around us. I think some people dont like to see them and don't have an open mind. I think everyone has this 'power' but many people are scared of them, and they don't believe in them, so they don't see them. But people who believe in them, or always have an open mind to new things, will see them. That's just what i believe. Hope it helps. =]
